At the Outlaw Radial Revolution No Mercy competition this weekend in South Georgia Motorsports Park, in Cecil, Georgia, Stevie Fast in his Fox body was able to walk/run away from this epic crash.

I laughed when he knocked down that person in the white hat. I’m guessing between the pains and the helmet he didn’t even see anyone there.

Why don’t any of the responders have fire suits? The first two guys over the wall are wearing shorts, and neither of them grabs the fire bottle strapped to the back of the K rail. The guy who comes running across the track w/ a fire bottle is also wearing shorts.
I know everyone signs a waiver, but can the folks running the event at least PRETEND like they give a shit about safety?

It’s Georgia? Dunno, there were people down the whole track. Seems unsafe if one of those cars flipped the barriers. Amateur hour, if you ask me.

I noticed both cars dont have a wheelie bar and guess what would have prevented the car at least getting air born? The car that didnt get air born ran under 4 seconds in the 1/8 mile which is about a sub 7 second 1/4 mile. Thats crazy power without a bar, I mean they even have parachutes. And as seen when it hooks, it hooks

Very few Radial vs the World cars run bars because if the bars hit, the radials lose all traction. Plus, if you install bars, you have to add 50 pounds to the car. The car that he was racing (the Golden Gorilla) took flight last year in almost the exact same way in the same lane. The Golden Gorilla went on to win $60k at this race with a last round ET of 3.76 seconds (his competitor ran a 3.78). I believe it was the first time two radial cars have run in the 3.7's at the same time. Anyway, most racers agree that if he had bars, they probably would have folded up, making no difference. When he got back into the throttle, the car had not landed yet, and the wind caught it.
